2008 Scholarship Winners Announced
'Scholarship Selection Days' were held simultaneously yesterday in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney to determine a winner from each of the three states. These annual scholarships cover the total fee for the September 2008 semester program to France , Italy or Germany. Ten finalists from each state had been chosen for final selection by winning an initial essay competition involving 230 students nominated by their schools.
All contendors enjoyed the selection activities: current affairs quiz, language lunches, impromptu speeches on world problems, debates on topics affecting Australian youth.
Annual S.C.C.E scholarships include: international transportation on Singapore Airlines, domestic transportation in the host country, a 5 month exchange program, a screened volunteer host family, full attendance at the local school, local support 24/7 from S.C.C.E, special complete insurance cover, departure and arrival orientation.
The South Australian was announced at the Brighton H. S school assembly today (29/04/08).

Olivia, a Year 10 student at the Glen Waverley campus of Wesley College, will go to France. The S.C.C.E affilliate organisation in Paris will choose her volunteer host family and school; S.C.C.E has sent 3268 Australian students to French volunteer families and schools since 1985, covering every province in France.
