Hosting - the heart of student exchange

Want to bring a little international flavour to your home? Volunteer to host an exchange student!  S.C.C.E. helps all along the journey, and Australian students about to go on exchange find hosting an invaluable way to research and prepare for their own experience.

S.C.C.E. supports students from Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Sweden and the USA.

Contact our National Office or complete the Host Family Application form and receive profiles of students who will best suit your family - musicians, dancers, athletes - there's an international student for every Australian family!

Don't miss the opportunity for your family, of any shape or size, to continue to grow. For further information on hosting contact us or read more about hosting.

 S.C.C.E.'s international students

What do international exchange students think of Australia and Australians? Find out by watching a video clip here.

More than 120 students spent three days in Sydney in July 2009 prior to joining their wonderfully generous and kind host families - watch a video of their experiences here.

S.C.C.E. in the media

ABC Sydney radio breakfast host Adam Spencer interviewed two international students about their wonderful experiences living with voluntary Australian families, listen here.

Two S.C.C.E. students recently appeared on Network Ten's 9am with David and Kim. For a realistic outline of all the benefits of S.C.C.E. programs, as told by successful exchange students, click here to watch the interview.

Returned students - Answering your questions

At our recent Re-entry Orientation a number of students volunteered to answer some of student exchange's FAQs. These students offer a valuable insight into student exchange and the opportunities offered by S.C.C.E.
